Last rites for Mrs. Carrie Lee Gist, 56, wife of Earl Gist, 123 N. Kings Highway were held 3 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church, Rev. Bill Cannon pastor of the Park Place Baptist Church, conducted the service.
As reported by the family, Mrs. Gerald Murray sang, “Follow, Follow, I Will Follow The O Lord” and “I’d Rather Have Jesus Than Anything.” Miss Vicki Hurst played the piano accompaniment.
Bill Cabaniss played the processional and recessional on the organ.
Casket bearers were Milo Hurst, Leonard Dudley, J. B. Matthew, C. J. Rankin, Bill Mathews, and A. J. Bryam.
Burial was under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home, was in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Gist was born at Berwyn Oklahoma, October 13, 1906, where the was married to Earl Gist, March 31, 1923. In 1933 the couple came to Cushing and she had lived here since.
