Lenoris was married to Rudolph Girmus of Ohiowa on Feb. 16, 1952. Three children were born to this union.

Lenoris was baptized at the Ohiowa Methodist Church in April of 1957. Lenoris lived north of Ohiowa until her passing.

Lenoris grew up in the Fillmore and Saline county area.

She attended Tobias Public School for twelve years, graduating salutatorian of her class in May 1949. Lenoris chose to follow the teaching profession. She first attended Fairbury Junior College, then the University of Nebraska, earning her Bachelor of Science in Education June 12, 1965, and her Master of Education June 1, 1968.

Lenoris’ teaching career consisted of 40 years. Lenoris first taught K-8 at Fillmore County District 41 south of Milligan from the fall of 1949-the spring of 1951. Lenoris had many interests outside of her career. Winter months she kept busy with sewing projects and the many crafts she enjoyed, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. Summer months she kept busy with her garden and flowers. Lenoris especially enjoyed caring for baby animals many times taking in wild baby orphans.
