She was a retired cook at Joe and Ruth's Restaurant and Dinner Bell Restaurant. She was a member of Campground Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was survived by her son, William Oliver (and Karen) Girdler of Pomona, Missouri;
her daughters, Betty Jo (and Bernard) Moss of Somerset, Kentucky, Janet Lee (and Roy) Taylor of Somerset, Kentucky, and Joyce Ann (and Allen Ray) Sullivan of Middletown, Ohio; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Tanner of Somerset, Kentucky; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry McKee and Pearlie J. (Meece) McKee; her stepfather, Charlie Tanner; her husband, Oliver Bert Girdler (married July 16, 1940); her son, Jerry Michael Girdler; her brother, William Tanner; and her sister, Frances (Tanner) Muse.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Reverend David Muse officiating.
