BENDER, Elda (Gingerich) Peacefully, at Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich, on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, Elda (Gingerich) Bender passed away, in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Elton Lewis Bender (1969). Dearly loved by her sons Eugene and Becky Bender of Goderich, Mark and Elsa Bender of Norrkoping, Sweden, Dwight Bender and Karen Wilson of London and her daughters June Bender of Victoria, B.C., Patricia Bender and Ken Wilson of Kingston and Arlene Bender of Kitchener. Loving grandmother of Pam and Kirk Hamilton, Laurie and Gregg De Winter, Martin Bender, Frida Bender and Sebastion Boo, Holly Bender, Jasmin and Julanna Bender, Jessica and Jennifer Wilson, Paul and Mark Procunier and great-grandmother of Jeff, Megan, Amelia; Jared, Regan; Liv and Moa. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Della Gascho, Dorothy and Leonard Bowman, Helen and Keith Gingerich, Lennis and Marjorie Gingerich, Gladys Gingerich, Irla Gingerich, Stanley Sauder. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and the Noah and Magdelina (Ruby) Bender family. Predeceased by her parents Solomon and Emma (Kennel) Gingerich, sisters Gladys Sauder, Doreen (Earl) Oesch, Bernice Gingerich, brothers Earl (Melinda) Gingerich, Lorne (Bernice) Gingerich, Alvin Gingerich, Neil Gingerich, Ray Gingerich, brother-in-law Ken Gascho and sisters-in-law Rebecca Gingerich and Dorothy Sauder. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date. Visitation will be in the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home, 49 Goshen St. N., Zurich on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in the Zurich Mennonite Church on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2 p.m. Pastor Ken Gazley officiating. Interment at First Mennonite Church Cemetery, 800 King St. E., Kitchener on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 1 p.m. Family and friends will be received at the church from 12 p.m. until interment time. Pastor Doug Snyder officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or a charity of one's choice.
