Mrs. Emily Baird
Mrs. Emily G. Baird, 75, 1937 S. Maple St., died at noon Tuesday at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, while undergoing diagnostic tests.
Born March 20, 1907, near Carthage, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George D. Gilmore. She was married June 13, 1927 in Forst Scott, Kan. to Ralph W. Baird who survives.
For more than 25 years, Mrs. Baird was employed in the office of the Carthage Ice and Cold Storage Co. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Rhoda Fairchild Chapter, DAR.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a sister Mrs. Virginia Hammond, Warrensburg, and a cousin Guthrie Gilmore, Carthage.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Ulmer Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank A. Hodson will officiate. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.

Services for Mrs. Emily G. Baird, 75, 1937 S. Maple Street. who died Tuesday at St. John's Hospital, Joplin, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Ulmer Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Hodson officiated.
Miss Betty Anne Wyatt was organist.
Pallbearers were Scott Campbell, Winston Carter, Walter French, Ray Carter, Garold Fullerton and Merle W. Raydon.
Members of DAR were seated in a group.
Burial was in Park Cemetery.
