James W. Gilman
Washougal - James W. Gilman, who lived in Clark County the past 27 years died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, in Washougal. He was 87.
Mr. Gilman was chief chemist at Old Colony Paint Co. for 1937 to 1945, a sales representative for American Cyanamid Co. for 1945 to 1973 and a sales representative for Techni-Glass for 1973 to 1985.
He was a member of the Washington State Historical Society and the Railroad Historical Society.
Mr. Gilman was born Jan. 16, 1913, in Porterville, Calif.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Geraldine "Gerry" F., at home; two daughters, Beverly Lyle of Phoenix and Doniece Wilson of Bothell, Wash.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Latter-day Saints, 3920 Q St., Washougal. Private inurnment will be in Washougal Memorial Cemetery.
Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
