She was born October 28th, 1929, at Reidsville, North Carolina, a daughter of the late John Henry Thomas Gillispie (Deceased) and Florence Doss-Gillispie (Deceased).
She was a pastor's wife of the Jesus Church for about 65 years, and also a dedicated Christian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clinton Dickens (Deceased) for 64 years, a daughter, Thelma Dickens (Deceased), a son, Clifford Dickens (Deceased), and granddaughters Kimberly Dickens (Deceased) and Frances K. Dickens (Deceased), and a daughter-in-law Rebecca Dickens (Deceased), brothers, Johnny Gillispie (Deceased), sisters, Sally Gillispie (Deceased), Effie Gillispie (Deceased), and Evelyn Gillispie (Deceased).
She is survived by her loving family: children, Charles Dickens and wife Sandra Kay Doss Dickens of Eunice, Jerry G Dickens of Rock Creek, Betsy Dickens-Loudermilk and Robert Loudermilk Sr. of Rock Creek, James R.
