"Alec D. Gillihan of Tracey City, TN passed away 4/8/2000. Mr. Gillihan was born 9/20/1941 in Arkansas the son of William Allen Gillihan and Ruby J. Bales. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 half-brothers (Warren, Odell and Rudell) and 1 brother, (James Don), a daughter (Rhonda Michelle) and a son (Neil Shayne).
He is survived by 4 brothers, Thurl E. of Senath MO., Harold C. (Loyd) of Arizona, John A. of St. Charles, MO, and Ronnie E. of Tracy City, TN., a son, John Neil Gillihan of Holland, MI.
Burial was April 21 in Plain View Cemetery, Tracy City.
He was known as Dempsey in his younger days. He entered the U.S. Army in1964 and served in Panama. He worked in St. Louis for many years before moving to CA and then later.to Tennessee."
