Nancy C. Gillespie, passed away May 1, 2006, in St. Vincent Hospital, Erie.
Born July 21, 1935, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Alvah V. Ambler and Julia K. Dombeck.
She worked as an automotive office manager for 28 years for GMAC, retiring from Adams Manufacturing in Portersville as an assistant to vice president of sales. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish, where she was a lifetime member of the church choir and was a cantor.
She was a former member of the Civic Chorale and was a secretary of the Sara Coyne Complex at Presque Isle. She passed on her talent and love of music to her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Gillespie was a 1953 graduate of Lincoln High School and loved to watch the Lincoln High School Blue Band play. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, James F. Gillespie, whom she married on April 27, 1954; three sons and daughters-in-law, James H. and Candy Gillespie, Orlando, Fla.; Joseph R. and Lori Gillespie, Beaver Falls, and John F. and Beth Gillespie, South Beaver Township; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jayne S. and Walter Bates, Perry Township, and Jacquelyn N. and Joseph Valentino, Ellwood City; ten grandchildren, Christopher, C.J., David, Jamie and Jennifer Gillespie; Walter and William Bates, and Joe, Lisa and Jimmy Valentino, and two great-grandchildren.
