Services for Evelyn Gill Bures, 90, of Lubbock will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2009 at Bethany Baptist Church with Bro. Stacy Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven.

Bures Mrs. Bures passed away on Tuesday, March 17th.

She was born on April 8, 1918, in Mount Vernon, TX to Charlie M. and Mamie Price Erwin Gill. She moved to Lubbock in 1920 and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1936. She retired from Civil Service at Reese AFB in 1976. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover, in 1993.

Survivors include two sons, John and wife Olga Bures and Ronnie Bures, all of Lubbock; three daughters, Betty Richardson and husband Clyde of Lorenzo, Kay Meier and husband Arthur of Seguin, Eva Nell "Pepper" Redding and husband Teddy of Odessa; one sister, Doris Jorgensen of Lubbock; two brothers, Clyde Gill of Lubbock and Gaylon Gill of Columbus; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
