William Eugene Gilgour (Bill), of Phoenix, passed away April 29, 2016.

Bill was born January 7, 1956, in St. Joseph, son of Eloise and the late Robert Gilgour.

Bill is survived by: his husband, Stephen Nehring; mother; brothers, Richard Gilgour and his wife, Cheryl, Mike Gilgour, Steve Gilgour and his wife, Donna; beloved nieces and nephews.

Bill graduated from Methodist Medical Center in 1976, as a Registered Nurse. He worked in the Emergency Room of local hospitals, followed by surgery centers. In 2011, he and his husband Stephen relocated to Phoenix, and began working for Maricopa Integrated Health System.

Bill was an avid gardener and loved photography, traveling and renovating homes.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016, Robidoux Row Museum, located at Third and Poulin Streets in St. Joseph.
