Dr. Ruth Gandell Gideon, 65, of Evanston, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011 in the company of family and friends. She was a dedicated psychiatrist and humanitarian, and leaves behind a legacy of singing, as a member of both Coriolis and the Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation Choir. She was the loving wife of Leo Myk Gideon; devoted mother of Myles (Elizabeth Diaz) Gideon and Michael Gideon; dear sister of David (Dahn) Gandell; cherished cousin of Jerry (Pam) Halpern and Susan Halpern. Services were held on Sunday, May 15 at Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation of Evanston, IL. Interment Private.
