Doris (Gibson) Betke, 86, of New Castle, PA, died Saturday, June 14, 2012, at Jameson South Point in New Castle.
Born September 8, 1927, in New Brighton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lee Edward Gibson and Rose (Werthmann) Gibson Emerick. Before retiring, she had worked in labor production for Rochester Collapsible Tube and attended the First Lutheran Church of Beaver Falls. One of her great enjoyments was gardening.
Surviving are four children, David L. Betke, Beaver Falls; Beth (Kenneth) A. Frampton, New Castle; Alan L. Betke, New Hampshire and Janice L. Campagna, Beaver Falls; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John 'Hoot' Gibson.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, from Noon until time of service at 1 p.m. in the CAMPBELL'S BEAVER FALLS FUNERAL HOME, 14th Street and Eighth Avenue, www.campbellfuneralhomes.com, with the Reverend Susan Irons officiating.
Interment will follow in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton, PA.
