GIBSON Hattie B., 84, born January 26, 1908 in Poteau, Ok., went to a mansion prepared by her Lord on September 8, 1992. Hattie married Vernon Gibson on September 23, 1923 and they would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this month.

Hattie and her husband were charter members of the Liberty Baptist Church for over 47 years. Hattie served as church treasurer for 25 years, worked in the nursery and taught Sunday School. She had a love for children and missions and supported them both financially. She loved to sew and, for many years, was a seamstress for Sears.

Hattie was preceded in death by a brother, Hosea Austin, and is survived by her husband, Vernon; two daughters, Inez and her husband Clarence Sammons of OKC, Katherine Ann and her husband W.F. Owen of Red Lodge, Mt; brother, Joe Austin of Hemet, Ca.; sister, Louise and her husband, Louis Covey of Garden Grove, Ca.; sister-in-law, Daphna Austin of Summerfield, Ok.; five grandchildren, David Sammons of Edmond, Ok., Stephen Sammons, U.S. Navy, Ca., Deborah Richardson of Oklahoma City, Ok., Clinton Hayden of Chandler, Ok., Clifton Hayden of Missoula, Mt.; and eleven great grandchildren.

Hattie was a lovely Christian lady and will be dearly missed by all.

Services will be Friday, Liberty Baptist Church, 3300 S. Broadway.
