Franklin Edwin (Ted) Gibson, 52, Kimbolton R. D. 1, was dead on arrival at Guernsey Memorial Hospital at 9 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 24, 1969) from an apparent heart attack.
A retired Cambridge State Hospital employee, he was born March 11, 1917 in Cambridge, the son of the late John A. and Dortha Bennett Gibson, and was a member of First Baptist Church; Plainfield Lodge 224, F & AM; and Scottish Rite, Valley of Cambridge. He was a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Gibson leaves his wife the former Doris Matthews whom he married in 1940; one daughter, Miss Delores Diane Gibson of the home; one son Terrance Lee Gibson of the home; three grandchildren; Michael Brenda and Timothy Gibson, all of Newcomerstown; three sisters, Mrs Wynn (Dortha) Clipner, Cambridge, Mrs. Thomas (Mary) Stage, Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. L. M. (Leona) Patterson, Clairton, Pa.
Three brothers, John William, Vernon L. and Donald C. Gibson, are deceased.
Friends may call at Bundy-Law Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Services will be t 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Lyons officiating. Burial will be in North Salem Community Cemetery.
