Funeral Rites for Mrs. Owen Boyle Are Held Tuesday In St. Paul's Church
Mrs. Owen Boyle, 89, died at 2 p.m. Saturday at her home in the town of Porter after a short illness.
The body was taken to the Allen funeral home where the rosary was recited Sunday night. It was recited again Monday night at the Boyle home. Services were held at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday in the home and at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic church with the Rev. F. J. Mehigan, officiating. Burial was in Porter township cemetery.
The former Nora Marie Roherty, daughter of the late William Giblin and Mary O'Roherty, was born Aug. 22, 1859 in the town of Union and was married Nov. 24, 1878, to Owen Boyle in St. Joseph's Catholic church at Edgerton by the Rev. Father Bowd. She died at the residence where she resided since marriage. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic church in Evansville.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Mary, Nora, and Clara Boyle, and her husband, who died September 21, 1940.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. James Farrington, Kingsford, Mich., Mrs. Lawrence McDonald and Miss Loretta Boyle, both of Rockford and Mrs. Orville Lamb, Oregon; and three sons, James, of Porter, William of Oregon and Eugene, of Janesville.
