Emily B. (Gibbs) Fitton, 92, of Easton, died Wednesday evening, March 7, 2007, at Bridgewater Nursing Home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Carl I. Fitton.
Born July 9, 1914, in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Ellie and Carrie (MacDonald) Gibbs. She was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School.
A seamstress, Mrs. Fitton worked for Laurie Sportswear of Stoughton and Pacento Sportswear of Brockton for numerous years.
She was a member of the Easton Council on Aging.
Mrs. Fitton leaves three sons, Carl R. Fitton and his wife Debbie of Easton, Clinton I. Fitton and his companion Janet of Virginia and Walter Fitton and his wife Debbi of Easton; two sisters, Arlene E. McNeill of Easton and Barbara Forsman of Plymouth; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was also the sister of the late Clinton Gibbs.
Her funeral was held on Saturday, March 10, in the Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington St., Easton. Interment followed in Furnace Village Cemetery, Easton.
