She was born September 2, 1934 in Wayne County, IL to Harold & Pearl (Gill) Gibbs. She married James E. Harrell on June 10, 1966 in Flora.
She was an area sales clerk for several local businesses and was a member of the Living Word Church in Louisville. Catherine enjoyed doing needlepoint, gardening, being with her grandchildren and her many friends.
She is survived by her husband: James Harrell of Flora; two sons: Chris Harrell & wife Nancy of Jacksonville, FL and Steve Harrell & wife Jennie of Flora; brother: Ronnie Gibbs & wife Judy of Clay City; three grandchildren: Matt & wife Valorie, Madison & Trenton; two sisters-in-law: Loeta Gibbs of Woodstock, IL and RaJean Gibbs of Flora; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers (Edwin & Fred Gibbs).
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday (July 7, 2010) at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora.
Burial will follow in Floral Garden of Memories, Flora.
Memorials may be made to Clay County Hospice or Clay County Cancer Support Group.
