Theresa M. Gibbons, age 65, of Milford, PA, formerly of New York City and Braintree, died peacefully, Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. She was born in Dorchester, raised and educated in Braintree schools and was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1965. She later graduated from Nyack College in New York. Theresa served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and over thirty years in the Army Reserve. She was employed as an administrative officer with the Department of the Army at Fort Totten in New York for over thirty years and recently retired. Loving partner of Dianne Baldwin of Milford, PA.Devoted mother of Thomas and Stephen Varvaro, Abigail and Aaron Baldwin all of New York City. Beloved daughter of the late Thomas M. and Marion A. (McAlarney) Gibbons. Dear sister of Thomas M. Gibbons and his wife Karen, Maureen A. Rosenberg and her husband Alan all of Marshfield. Also survived by four nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Monday, July 22nd at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10 oclock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting at the funeral home Monday 8:30 | 9:30 a.m. Interment with military honors Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
