At an early age she confessed CHRIST and united with the Antioch Baptist Church family.
She was united in Holy Matrimony with the late Mr. Will Drake. God blessed her with a very loving and devoted son, Charlie Milton.
Mrs. Drake was a worthy Servant of the Lord. She cared for her late husband, mother, and brothers.
She retired from the LaGrange Public School System as a cook and also retired from the Smith family.
She was a very ardent and faithful member of the Welcome Baptist Church, where she served as president of the Mother Board. She was always ready to serve wherever and whenever needed. As a mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, and friend, she will always be remembered for her delicious meals, warm hospitality, and her belief in prayer. She served as a very faithful and dedicated narrator for the Old Ship of Zion. She was also a member in good standing with the St. Elizabeth Grand Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
After a brief illness, she very quietly and peacefully entered into eternal life on Monday, June 23, 1997 at the West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange, Georgia.
