Harold passed away calmly following 94 years of love, leadership and integrity conveyed to his family and friends.
An industry leader for over 50 years in the Southern California produce market, he had a strong affinity to USC, the Dodgers, Lakeside CC and horseracing.
Born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota he migrated first to Oregon, then Oakland and in 1939 to Southern California where he established his own produce business later pioneering direct delivery of products to chain super markets.
Harold is predeceased by his wife of 56 years, the former Verla Zimmerman and two grandsons, Gregory Smith and Peter Leimbach.
He is survived by his daughters Regina Leimbach and her husband Charles, and Loretta Smith and her husband Robert. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; Jenifer McDonald and her husband James. Joseph Leimbach, his wife Jacquie and their children Kaitlin and Molly. Gretchen Brandt her husband David and their children Lorna, Gregory and Ellen, Jeffrey Smith, his wife, Laurie and their twins Marshall and Owen, Stephen Smith, his wife Jill and their children Matthew and Lauren, and Harold's youngest granddaughter Sarah Smith.
