Jerold H. German, 95, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at Heritage Park Care Center from pancreatic cancer. He was born the 13th of 14 children to George J. German and Dorthea (Jensen) German in Cozad, Nebraska on August 7, 1917. He was raised on the family farm and educated in the Cozad school system. On April 3, 1938, Jerry married Marian Godfrey in Julesburg, Colorado. They were together for 67 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, 12 siblings, wife, Marian, three children, Lois, Jeff, Jack, and a great-grandson, Zachary. Jerry leaves behind his children, Larry, Albuquerque, NM; Don, Arab, AL; Greg, Roy, UT; Jennifer, Wolford Heights, CA; and one sister along with many Godfrey and German kin.
