Married Texas Herbert German August 21, 1942 in Lewiston, Nez Perce Co., Idaho.

Barb was born in Orofino, Idaho, the third child of five children born to Fred and Agness Bolon. As a young child, she moved numerous times around northern Idaho and eastern Washington. Then, in the spring of 1936, the family moved to Connell, Washington, where they stayed.Barb finished as valedictorian of her 1941 high school class and then went to Lewiston Business College for a year. She returned to Connell to marry her sweetheart, Tex German, before he left for Europe and World War II.Tex and Barb had two children, Rich, Couer d'alene, and Roxi (Mohondro), Kennewick, who they raised in Connell. Barb worked for the Franklin County Graphic for over 25 years. She then worked for her nephew at Bafus Pharmacy for about 10 years.Barb was always busy with her children, work, sports and Rebekah's. She and Tex coached Little League baseball and followed their children and various nieces and nephews around the state watching football, basketball, baseball and wrestling events. In later years, Barb followed her grandchildren watching and cheering them in their sport of choice. Barb joined the Rebekah Lodge in 1946 and was a vital participating member for over 60 years.When she had free time, she loved to read western novels and watch western TV shows, especially Gunsmoke. She always felt she would have made a fine pioneer. Barb enjoyed creating projects from plastic canvas and many family members have items that she has made.Barb's family was always extremely important to her and she cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Tex, sisters Marcelle (Woody) and Maxine (Schwisow) and brother Vic Bolon.
