Ruby Lamb, 69, of Des Moines died of cancer at Broadlawns Medical Center. She was born in Colfax, the daughter of William C. and Fern C. (Holdefer) Gerhart, and lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a homemaker.
Survivors included her husband, Thomas Frank (1902-1991); a daughter, Beverly Kohne of Columbia City, Ind.; two sons, Gerald L. Kirkman and Gary Lee Kirkman, both of Des Moines; a brother, Charles Gerhart of California, 6 sisters, Frances Gerhart and Mary Griggs, both of Newton, Gladys Reynolds, Washington state, Betty Craft of Shellsburg, Stella Jones of Canoga Park, Calif., and Phyllis Thompson of Baxter; two stepdaughters, Mary Jane Pike and Colleen Payne, both of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.
