Crowell, Texas - Max Gerhardt, 69 died Friday in Quanah, Texas, hospital

Services are under direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home.

Gerhardt was born July 16, 1913 in Fort Sumner, N.M., and married Adela Barela, Dec. 14, 1933, in Fort Sumner. He was a retired construction worker and a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Stella Almaguer of Hollis Okla., Sally Mata of Sonora, Texas, and Clara Garcia of Irving, Texas; two sons Max Jr., and Fred both of Crowell; a brother Nester Jarmillo of Hale Center, Texas; three sisters, Margie Villegas and Julia Gallardo, both of Plainview, Texas; and Mary Agurrie of Hale Center; 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
