Pneumonia Claims One
Adolph Georges passed away at his home in the valley on Monday morning at 7 o'clock of that dread disease, pneumonia, aged 54 years.
The deceased was a native of Germany, having been born in Alsace Lorraine. (Note: in 1862, Alsace Lorraine was a part of Germany). After coming to America he made his way westward and settled in the Wet Mountain Valley, where he has resided for over thirty years. Mr. Georges was generally admired throughout his neighborhood in the valley and in these towns, his long residence here proving him a man of honesty and true worth to all acquaintances.
Besides the widow he is survived by four brothers, two of whom, Joseph and Matt., reside here and four sisters and numerous other relatives.
The funeral, conducted by Fr. Edw. Berkemeyer, was held from the Catholic Church here at 10 a.m. Thursday and the large turnout manifested the esteem in which the deceased was held. After the services the remains were followed to the Catholic cemetery where internment took place and the last sad rites were witnessed.
The Tribune joins the community in extending sympathy to the bereaved widow and relatives in their hour of deep sorrow.
