Daughter of Paul Georges and Anna (Brechet) Georges.
Aunt Bet immigrated to the US from France in 1927 on the S.S. Rochambeau. I always loved the fact that she met her husband, Uncle Joe, when they worked for the same family. She was the au pair and he was the chauffeur.
Together, they had two sons, two grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
My dad remembers she allowed him to "skate" in his socks on her freshly waxed wooden floor. I remember her lovely French accent, and the fact that she was very engaging and hospitable. We could never visit her home without having a little something to eat and drink. She would also greet you and say goodbye with a kiss on both cheeks.
