daughter of Iredel Alma and Nellie Bly Reamy George
wife of Charles Franklin George

From Currie Funeral Home:
Ada Louise George, 86, of Weems, passed away peacefully at her home on October 12, 2013, after a long illness, with her daughter, Deborah, at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Iredel George and Nellie Bly Reamy George; her sister, Ione George Gibson; her brother, Joseph Allen George; and her son-in law William Cranston Morgan (Deborah). She is survived by her daughters, Deborah George Morgan, Teresa Ione George Willett (John); grandchildren, Elisa Glenn Moss Enoch ( Scott), William "Will" Cranston Morgan III, Bristol Boles Barnes (Cody), and Brandi Nicole Boles; great-grandchildren, Jessica Remy Enoch, Scott "Wells" Howell Enoch, Jr., Dillon Loving, Destiny Boles, Darius Boles; a beloved former son-in- law, Kenneth Boles; brother-in-law, Robert N. Gibson; and nephews, Randy Reeves ( Linda), Robert " Bob" Gibson, and Jeffery Gibson; nieces, Joanne Coor ( Bruce), and Mary Lou Claiborne ( Ray); and beloved friends, Janet Dawson, Cathy Polhamus, Anita Lee, Ray Paul, Rita Boyd, and Tay Thomas. Mrs. George was a faithful member of Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church all of her life until infirmity prevented her participation. She was a life-long choir member with a beautiful soprano voice, a Sunday School teacher, and a Bible School teacher. She cooked and took food to the elderly and sick as long as she was able. In her younger years, she was a superb soft crabber and fisherman, and could always pull up fish even when they were biting for no one else. She took great delight and pride in outside yard work, grass cutting, and "keeping up the place" which had been in her family for almost 200 years. She played the piano beautifully as well as the organ and one could often hear her music on the other side of the creek as the water carried the sound across. She will be remembered for her sweet and loving spirit, and incredible compassion for both people and her beloved cats. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, always there to help anyone who was in need. In her later years, when infirmity had crippled her body, she continued to offer tenderness, love and sage advice. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church, Weems, Va. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League, P. O. Box 975, White Stone, VA. 22578.
