LEWISTOWN - June M. Angney, 84, of Lewistown, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born June 11, 1927, in Granville, the daughter of the late Lewis and Bessie (James) George.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Lewis Angney, in 1991; her daughter, Karen L. Angney, on Dec. 14, 2002; three brothers; and five sisters.

June is survived by: her son, Robert L. Angney and wife, Gail, of McClure; daughter, Cindy M. (Angney) Workman, of Lewistown; sisters, Ida Verish, of Portage, and Pearl Kurac, of Danville; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

June worked for 40 years at American Viscose Corporation.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with Father Tukura Michael officiating. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park Cemetery.
