Frances Brogan George died March 3, 1991 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She had been in failing health for several months.
She grew up in St. Paul, attending the Brogan country school and graduating from St. Francis High School in St. Paul. She had lived most of her life in St. Paul except for a short time when she lived in South Mound and in Parsons. She moved to the Wichita area about five years ago to be near her daughter on account of failing health.
She was the daughter of Chris and Cora (Burnett) Brogan.
She and Ray George were married Nov. 12, 1934 in St. Paul.
He died Oct 12, 1980. Two children were born to this union.
Mrs. George was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul, the Daughters of Isabella and the Altar Society. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Chanute. She had been an active worker in the church and several organizations in which she had held various offices through the years.
The service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the st. Francis Catholic Church of St. Paul. Burial in St. Francis Cemetery at St. Paul.
