Terri Michele Davidson, age 49, of 1009-3rd Street, died suddenly at her home on October 7, 2011.
A Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 14, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart with Rev. Randy Schon officiating. Terri will be laid in her final resting place at Linwood Park Cemetery.
Terri was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, on July 9, 1962, the daughter of Marvin and Anna Marie (Giese) Gengler.
She graduated from Boone High School in 1980 and in 1981 graduated from Patricia Stevens' College of Interior Design and Fashion Merchandising in Omaha, Nebraska.
On July 11, 1981, Terri married high school sweetheart Roger Davidson of Boone.
Upon graduation from college, Terri was employed at Ross' Fashions in Boone and would become the manager of the Ames store.
While taking time away from work to raise her children, she most enjoyed spending time watching her son play baseball and admiring her daughter dance.
Terri was a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart and its Altar Society, Boone Women's Bowling League, avid volunteer for Boone County CARES, and life-long blood donor.
Terri was able to make a career out of the things that brought her joy, and she became self-employed in housekeeping, interior design, and landscaping.
Terri was admired and praised for her attention to detail and ability to visualize the final product.
She also enjoyed gardening, home decorating and improvement projects, reading, spending time with her pets, taking trips to visit family, cruising with her husband on his Harley, and attending Classic Rock Concerts.
Terri will always be remembered as Classic Rock Station KGGO's number one fan and supporter.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
Terri is survived by her husband Roger Davidson of Boone; her son Joshua of Boone and her daughter Kylie Davidson of Des Moines; her parents Marvin and Anna Marie Gengler of Boone; three brothers: Keith Gengler of Moline, Illinois, Gregg (Jill) Gengler of Chandler, Arizona, and Mark (Cheri) Gengler of Ramsey, Minnesota; her sister Lisa (Scott) Switzer of Coppell, Texas; four nephews and two nieces; her mother-in-law and father-in-law Ruth and Jacob Davidson of Boone; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Terri will be missed by her many friends and family members.
Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Thursday from 1 until 8 p.m. where a Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. The family will be present from 6 until 8 p.m.
Visitation continues Friday at the funeral chapel from 8 until 10 a.m.
Memorials in Terri's name may be directed to her family.
