two-car crash at 5:45 p.m. at the
intersection of County
Roads 1200N and 500W.
Carroll County Coroner James L. Lloyd
said death was due to a puncture wound in
the forehead. Mrs. Bernfield also had
multiple broken bones.
Cheryl Geisler Bernfield was born in
Logansport July 21, 1950, the daughter of
the late Virgil Geisler and Mrs. Lucille
Hathaway Geisler, now of Rt. 6, Logansport.
She was married May 17, 1969, to
Jeffrey Bernfield,
She was a member of Oak Grove
Christian Church, a graduate of Twin
Lakes High School, and a former employe
of the First National Bank of Monticello.
Surviving with her husband and mother
are one son, Mark Anthony, at home; four
brothers, Doyle, Burnettsville, Daniel Lee,
Monticello, David Dean, Rt. 4, Monticello,
and Richard William, Rt. 6, Logansport;
three sisters, Mrs. Bobbie Maggert,
Burnettsville, Mrs, Gilbert DeWitt, Rt. 1,
Star City, and Mrs. William Martin, Rt. 1,
Monticello; and her paternal grandfather,
Lester Geisler, Monticello.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at
Miller Funeral Home, Monticello, with the
Rev. Steve Haley officiating.
