Carroll Faye (Geary) Bowman, 78, of Connellsville, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, at Sunshine Estates, Connellsville. She was born Oct. 24, 1936, in Franklin Township, a daughter of the late Carl E. and Agnes Jane (Clark) Geary. Carroll worked for many years at Connellsville Sportswear as a presser. She was also a loving homemaker for many more years. She was a member of Franklin United Methodist Church, Dunbar, the Alpha Y Gradale, the Highlands Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and volunteer at the hospital gift shop. She is survived by three children, Brad Bowman, of California, Jane and Bob Miller, of Greensburg, and Carol Swenglish and husband, Paul, of Uniontown; grandchildren, James B. Bowman and wife, Lisa, of Connellsville, Brandie Sunday and husband, Tom, of Wexford, Jared Mitchell, of Carnegie, Brian Mitchell and wife, Jennifer, of Mt. Pleasant, and Kevin Mitchell, of Connellsville; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Valerie Bowman and Charlee and Thomas Sunday; three brothers, Daryl Geary and wife, Bobbi Ann, of Scottdale, Dave Geary and wife, Jean, of Scottdale, and Glenn Geary, of Connellsville; sister, Mary Francis and husband, Ray, of Connellsville; and a special friend, Jim Pierce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Braden Murrel "Bud" Bowman (2011); and a granddaughter, Heather Ann Mitchell. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, with Pastor Tom Shiver, officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. The Bowman family would like to extend their sincere and heartfelt thanks to Amedisys Hospice and Sunshine Estates for their compassion and care.
