MARGARET "MARGE" JEAN Glenn GAULT July 19, 1928 - August 4, 2005 77, passed away as she slept peacefully in her home. Born in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Ward and Mabel Glenn. Marge spent her early years in Pittsboro, Indiana, graduating from Pittsboro High School in 1946. Marge received her degree in Registered Nursing from Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. In 1958, she married the late Dr. Ernest J. Tarnow and moved to Northern California. A devoted mother of 4, Marge volunteered time to their various activities including Brownies/Girl Scouts and nursing duties at her children's school. Following her divorce from Dr. Tarnow, in 1975 she married Sidney B. Gault (now deceased). As a grandmother to 8, she delighted in sewing Halloween costumes, clothing and dolls for them. She was a tremendous baker and cook, spending many hours creating tins of Christmas cookies or cooking delicious recipes to share with family and friends. Her crafting skills were evident in the many wreaths, curtains and wall decorations she created over the years. Margaret will be missed by her 4 children and their spouses, Leslie and Glen Jones, Steve and Lisa Tarnow, Susan (Tarnow) Bell and Jeffrey Tarnow plus the 8 grandchildren that she cherished so much, Joshua, Andrew and Daniel Bell, Courtney and Stephenie Tarnow, Amanda and Michelle Tarnow and Melissa Jones. She is survived by her 7 siblings, Ward Glenn, Genevieve Barnhart, Mary Sharpe, Henrietta Bauldauf, Joanne Nelson, Richard Glenn and their respective spouses, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her sister, Gertrude Fagan. Viewing was held on Saturday, August 6th at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels in Fremont with family and friends in attendance. No other public memorial services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please remember Margaret by sending your donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
