Born in Farmington, Jefferson Co., Wisconsin. He was the son of Frederick and Gwendolyn Schuenke Keeser.

He was a graduate of Johnson Creek HIgh School, Class of 1953.

He was a member of the United States Marine Corps. Serving in Japan from 1954-1957 and the the reserve Marine Corps from 1957-1960. He attained the rank of sergeant.

He was married October 17, 1959 to Carl Ann Zielsdorf at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown.

To this union were born four children; Linda (Mrs. Dale Schier), Charles "Chuck" (Sherri), Kathy (Mrs. Dave Kaercher) and Frederick Robert (Who preceded his father in death).
He was employed as a mason for many years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Johnson Creek, V.F.W. Post 3709 and the Marine Corps League, both of Watertown.
He was grandfather t Jacob and Ben Keeser, Rod, Candise, and Jackie Scheir, Jennifer Keeser, and Nicole Lee. Great grandfather of 8.
He was a brother to Joe (Nancy) Keeser, Mike (Debbie) Keeser, Jerry (Betty) Keeser, Danny (Ruth) Keeser, Carol Cartwright, Wayne (Karen) Keeser, and Faye (Leonard) Toebe.
His funeral was held the on the 42nd anniversary of the death of his son, who died November 15, 1966. His death occured four months after the death of his brother-in-law Vernon Gaugert.
He was this author's uncle.
