Mrs. Charles Gash
Dies in Illinois;
Word has been received here of
the death yesterday morning of
Mrs. Edna Bralley Gash, 79, Lockport,
Ill., In St. Joseph's Hospital,
Mrs. Gash was a former Bradford
resident and with her husband,
the late Charles O. Gash, owned
and operated the old Weaver Hotel
on Main St. Mrs. Gash left Bradford
25 years ago to make her
home with her son, Charles O.
Gash Jr., Locteport.
She was born in Germantown,
Pa., Aug. 6, 1876, and married
Mr. Gash In Bradford In 1900.
Surviving besides her son are a
daughter, Mrs. Rocco Tito, New
York City; a sister, Mrs. Maude
Baldwin, Dallas, Tex.; two grandchildren,
Miss Joan Tito and Mrs.
Marilyn Meenan, both of New
York; and five great-grandchildren.
The body will be brought to Bradford
and will arrive sometime
Tuesday, after which friends may
call at the J. A. Still Funeral
Home. A prayer service will be
held there at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday
followed at 9 o'clock by a
Requiem High Mass at St. Bernard
Church. Burial will be in
Oak Hill Cemetery.
