Eugene E. Gash, 81, of Hershey, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was born, June 13, 1928, in McKeesport, son of the late Elmer and Julia (Pollick) Gash.
Eugene graduated from Waynesburg College, and was employed as a supervisor for the High Casualty Insurance Co. and retired from the Commonwealth of PA Dept. of Revenue. He was also a WWII Army veteran; and was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey.
Surviving are his wife, Rita Gash; two sons, David Gash of Hershey and Gene Gash of Houtzdale; granddaughter, Heather Evanoka and her husband, Mark, of Mt. Prospect, IL; sister, Joan Bellevance and her husband, Frank, of Elizabeth, PA.
A visitation at the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of Hershey will be held 4:00 - 6:00 pm, Sunday, March 14, with recitation of the rosary at 3:45 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 15, 2010, at 11:30 am in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church. Interment with military honors will follow in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Heart of the Parish Fund, St. Joan of Arc Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey, PA 17033
