Mrs. Amelia Garrison Dies
Westhampton - Mrs. Amelia Garrison, 74, died at Dickinson hospital on Tuesday night. She was born in Pittston, Pa., April 12, 1870, the daughter of William and Lisette (Zirkel) Bechtold. Her husband, Charles C. Garrison, died 12 years ago and since that time she has made her home with her sister, Mrs. Lena Richard in Westhampton. Since she came to Westhampton 13 years ago Mrs. Garrison has taken an active interest in the work of the Woman's Missionary union serving for many years as secretary and for the last three years she has had charge of the Adventures in Reading in the Missionary society. She is survived by her son Raymond Garrison of Belmarr, N.J.; two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lena Richard. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Westhampton church. Rev. Basil Hall of Florence officiating. Friends may call at the Mitchell funeral home until noon on Friday.
