Arthur W. Garrison
Arthur W. Garrison, 69, of 13326N 100E, North Manchester, IN, died Saturday, March 27, 1999 at Wabash Skilled Care Center, Wabash, IN. He was born Dec. 20, 1929 in Wabash County to Dwayne and Oma (Hiner) Garrison, both deceased. He married Patricia Hathaway Nov. 24, 1950 in North Manchester.
Mr. Garrison was a 1949 graduate of Central High School in North Manchester. He was a member of the N. Manchester United Methodist Church. He was well known in the North Manchester community working many years with his father at the Liberty Mills Sale Barn until beginning his own business as a painter. He was also founder and co-owner of The Village Hamlet Corp. until 1998.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons - Timothy of Noblesville, IN, James of Lanesville, IN and Rodney of Carmel, IN; three granddaughters - Michelle Rich of Lanesville, IN, Minette Agnew of New Albany, IN and Hannah Garrison of Carmel, and grandson Alexander Garrison of Carmel; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, March 31, 1999 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel of North Manchester, with the Rev. William Hemmig officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery, N. Manchester.
Preferred memorials are to North Manchester United Methodist Church. Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
