Opal M. Garriott, 100, of Bedford, Ky., died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Bedford Health Care Center.
She was born Nov. 5, 1901, in Flora, Ill., the daughter of John Clyde and Retta Florence Burgis Monical.
She was a pastor's wife. She was a member of Bedford United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Missionary United Methodist Women for 65 years and served twice as its president.
Survivors include a daughter, Emma Florence Clark of Houma, La.; a brother, Robert Monical of Hereford, Texas; a sister, Ruth Gray of Raphine, Va.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. L. A. Garriott; and two sisters, Ethel Roscholt and Nellie Hildreth.
Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Tuesday at Bedford United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bedford IOOF Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. EDT today and 9 a.m. EDT until noon EDT Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford.
