Funeral Services for Mr. William James Garrett, 86, of West Monroe, LA will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Nancy Owens and Rev. Jerry Crise officiating. Graveside Services will be held 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Madden Cemetery in Bienville Parish under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mr. Garrett was born November 5, 1929 in Bienville Parish, LA and passed away December 27, 2015 at his home in Ouachita Parish, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Effie Garrett; brothers, Emmett, Cortez, J.B. and Ernest Garrett; sister, Annie Ruth Matzko; and son-in-law, Dennis Strickland.

Survivors include his wife, Metalene; daughter, Martha Strickland; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Deborah Garrett; nieces, Elaine Hertlien and Julia Mangano; nephews, Bruce Garrett, Larry Garrett and John Rodney Matzko; cousin, Dale Morris and wife Cindy.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Prisock, Tommy Kelley, Jack Larche, Roy Larche, Stanley Wink and Clyde Kelley.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Madden Cemetery or Woodlawn Methodist Church would be appreciated.
