Mrs. DOLORES ANN ABBETT, 67, of Proctorville, Ohio, died Friday, June 3, 2005, in Ohio State Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, by Pastor Don Irby. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Dolores was born February 14, 1938, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late James L. and Doris Cline Garretson. She was a member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Franklin Abbett. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Harmon of Proctorville, Ohio; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Dawnetta Abbett of Lavalette and Jeff and Ginny Abbett of Barboursville; six grandchildren, JoAnn Harmon of Proctorville, Brad and Jeff Abbett of Lavalette, Jamie Casella of Proctorville and Tanya and Tyler Abbett of Barboursville; one great-grandson, Jace Casella; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Don and Sue Garretson of Dayton, Ohio, and Jim Garretson of Barboursville; and a special aunt, Fannie Childers and her husband Buzz of Barboursville. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005.
