Elden Garrard, 73, Palestine, died this morning at Crawford Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mary; six daughters, Mrs. Nina Drummond, and Mrs. Marilyn Skidmore, both of Robinson, Mrs. Mildred McDaniel, Mrs. Mary Lou Hargis, and Mrs. Edlonna Snyder, all of Palestine, and Mrs. Genelle Weger, Apache Junction, Ariz.; a son, Randy Garrard, Palestine; three brothers, Ausby, Loy and Roy Garrard, all of Palestine; a sister, Mrs. Ella Corder, Palestine; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Garrard was preceded in death by a brother, Orval Garrard, in 1968.
