Mary Evelyn Garner, age 68, died March 27, 2014 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Born March 10, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, MO, daughter of Andrew "Andy" Matz of Morley and the late Betty Dee (Bruihl) Matz.
Mrs. Garner was a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge, the Eagles in Sikeston and had worked as a bookkeeper for SEMO Electric before retiring.
On October 18, 1974 she married Charles Garner; he survives of the home.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Jim Matthews, pastor of Cape County Cowboy Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Goshen Cemetery at Oak Ridge, MO.
