Arbie Mae Claxton

Arbie Mae Claxton, 92, of Paragould, passed away at NEA Baptist in Jonesboro on Monday November 1, 2021. Arbie was born in Knobel, Arkansas on March 27, 1929 to the late Jess and Otra (Melton) Humphrey. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Harden Garner; second husband, Merval Claxton; two grandchildren, Angelina Garner, and Mallorie Baker; seven brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include her children, David Garner (Kathryn) of Fairdealing, Missouri, Delores Dunn (Eugene) of Harrisburg, Dennis Garner (Martha) of Paragould, Michael Garner of Marmaduke, Joyce Langston of Seneca, Missouri, Sandra Garner Harbison of Paragould, and Kelly Garner (Sheri) of Paragould; one brother, Jack Humphrey of California; one sister, Irene Cook of Alabama; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:00-2:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The service will start at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Bryce Smithee, and Rev. David Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh cemetery.
