Catherine "Cat" Garmon-Black , a lifelong Mobilian, died Sunday. She was 79.
She was a member of Love Joy Temple Holiness Church, where she served on the mother's board.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Seals and Hattie McMillian, both of Mobile; three sons, Arthur Black and Christopher Black , both of Mobile, and Samuel Black of Detroit; three sisters, Catherine Davis of Detroit and Delores Davis and Betty Jean Davis, both of Las Vegas; a brother, Paul Davis Jr. of Detroit; a stepbrother, William Knott of Mobile; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be after 9 a.m. Saturday at Love Joy Temple Holiness Church, 166 Meaher St. in Prichard, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery on Demetropolis Road.
Arrangements are by Christian Benevolent Funeral Home on Hamilton Street.
