Mrs. Cadeau was born in Troy, N.Y., June 15, 1858, and shortly after her marriage in 1877 to the late John H. Ashley, came to Oregon on one of the first continental railroads. They settled
in Brookfield, Wash. Here Since 1927 Mr. Ashley died in 1907, and in 1915 Mrs Cadeau was married to Pacific Cadeau and moved to Cathlamet.
She had been living in Portland since the death of her second husband in 1927. Mrs. Cadeau is survived by four daughters, Mrs. N. B. Burkolder
of 2106 Northeast Forty-first avenue, with whom she had been living; Mrs. T. J. Gleie and Mrs. A. T. Lusted, all of Portland, and, Mrs. R. E. Jarl of Troutdale; two sons, James H. Ashley of Brookfield, and Cyril D. Ashley of Allison Harbor, B. C., and four grandchildren.
