Anna or Aneliza was the daughter of William Finch Gardner and Martha Jane Shellhorse Gardner. There is a picture, past down, of her in her bed with her sons standing by her. She looks frail, obit says she died at 911 Twenty-seventh Street she had a lingering illiness. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Pittsylvania County and had lived in Newport News 11 years. She was also survived by two brothers; Jake Gardiner and John B. Gardiner and two sisters; Mrs. E. J. Wyatt and Mrs J. W. Wood.
