No service will be held for Pauline Margaret Edgington, who died Aug. 23, 1998, at age 78.
Mrs. Edgington was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Beaumont County, Ark. Her maiden name was Gardner. She moved to Los Angeles as a young woman. She was a professional dancer with the Polynesian Society and performed throughout the United States and Canada with its band, the Beach Combers. In 1960, the group got a regular gig in Portland, where she had lived since. She performed under the name ``Pua Lani'' with the Royal Hawaiians Band in the mid-1970s.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald E. Wilkinson of Westminster, Calif., and Jody K. Wilkinson of Portland; sisters, Dixie and Ruby; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Private interment was in Lone Fir Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to a favorite charity. Arrangements are by Omega Funeral & Cremation Service.
