Allah Gardner Devey, age 91, passed away on October 28, 2011 in Sandy, Utah.

Born August 6, 1920 in West Jordan, Utah to Vernal and Harriet Riggs Gardner.

Married John L. Devey in West Jordan, Utah on July 30, 1946. Their marriage was sealed for all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. John L. preceded her in death on December 15, 2006.

Allah graduated from Jordan High School, attended Brigham Young University and the University of Utah. She was employed by Jordan School District as a secretary at West Jordan Elementary, Westvale Elementary, and Bingham High School.

Allah was proud or her pioneer heritage. She was a lifelong, active member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Allah loved her family, she was a wonderful sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Allah is survived by her sister, Shirley Fletcher, and daughters, Paula Devey (Russ) McKinlay and Johna Devey (David) Brems. She has seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Allah was preceded in death by her son, John Douglas, brothers, Johns R. and Edwin "Ted" Gardner, and sister Adeline Rose.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Warenski Funeral Home Chapel located at 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment: Alpine City Cemetery.
